Family is a reason to continue

So, it has been a while since I added to this blog. And today of all days Thursday. I spoke to my niece. And it was so great to finally talk to her after such a long period of time that we, haven’t even seen each other.

She’s a 18-year-old girl going through some personal tribulations, and exceeding all expectations of survival. Of what I gathered from our conversation, she is doing not only great but amazing.

I always knew that she was a smart kid. Even when she was 3 ft tall, she had a very active brain. And it makes me so happy knowing that she’s doing good.

I am beyond proud of her.

A new chapter

Since she was 12, I gave her a website. A blog where she could add her thoughts and her life experience.

And even though she never really used it I continue to have hope that one day she will. Even today I still have the hope that she will continue on the path of adding to this website of hers and sharing her story, sharing her troubles, and maybe even helping other kids find the light in their own darkness.

So I set up the website again. And I’ve learned a little bit more about adding content, and setting up a good looking blog website.

So I’m very excited to have this new website for her, and I’m also hopeful that she will use it to inspire other people.

Because she has gone through what kids should not go through. And so much I wish that she could have reached out to me earlier in her life, so I could help her out. But for whatever reason that’s not the way it worked out.

So speaking to her today not only makes me very proud of her and very happy that she’s okay. But it also gives me hope that she will continue down this path of searching for God and balance.

Letting go of bad prior situations, with her mom or her ex-boyfriend, and even letting go of addictive drugs that she might have over consumed.

I can’t wait to read more of her blog.
